Reviews of the Badass Women’s History Tour of Philadelphia
Totally Badass
“I took a corporate group of 19 attendees on this tour and is was phenomenal. Rebecca was a wonderful guide and super helpful in accommodating a group of our size. We couldn’t be happier and hope to have her speak at a corporate event in the future.”

The Rest of The Philadelphia Story
My friend and I did the Badass Women's History Tour with Amanda. From start to finish our experience with Beyond the Bell exceeded our expectations. Scheduling was easy and Rebecca communicated everything we needed to know. I was a little unsure at first because the forecast was calling for a rainy day, but honestly, the tour was so captivating we barely noticed the rain. An added bonus was there was fewer people at the sites so we had many spots to ourselves.
Our tour guide Amanda was so impressive. She was a wonderful, knowledgeable story teller. Her passion for the history made it all come alive and the information shared was incredible, stories that NEED to be heard. Each stop she chose had meaning and the time on the tour went by so quickly. Amanda answered our questions, made sure we were comfortable and even gave us recommendations for lunch spots after the tour.
I would recommend this tour for anyone interested in history, anyone passionate about social justice, anyone who wants to learn more about Philadelphia and anyone who wants to enjoy a adventure in the city. I feel fortunate I now know the history the books and other guides do not tell.
A fantastic way to explore the city!
A fantastic way to explore the city! I know very little about Philadelphia and learned so much and was able to see and experience areas I wouldn't have otherwise known or thought to explore. Joey was a fantastic guide and truly enjoyed our time with him. His insights into history and the role the city has played where thoughtful and educational. If I had more time in the city I would definitely do their other tours.
Beyond the Bell Is Beyond Comparison
“Not your usual walking tour -- just many notches above. Joey was the ultimate guide: enthusiastic, articulate, well-read... and humorous, to boot. Would happily walk with him again and again. A small (9) group of interesting people from diverse backgrounds made for equally interesting questions/contributions. An absolute must while in Philadelphia.”

Joey is incredible.
He is authentically himself and you can feel the love through the stories he tells. So much history along with a beautiful scenic walk. The history was explained in such a fun yet informative manner that made me actually remember, in detail, what was said. I came with a huge group of women to celebrate Women’s History Month and amongst all the things we did, this was by far my favorite.
My husband I both enjoyed this tour very much!
The pace was good for us active retirees and we saw parts of the city we otherwise wouldn’t have seen. But the best part was all of the interesting information that Rebecca shared. She really knows her city and the women that built it. My husband strongly encourages all men to take this tour!
