In 2023, Beyond the Bell Tours began developing the Drag Me Philly! tour to highlight excerpts of oral history interviews from Drag Arts Oral History Project with archival information from the William Way LGBTQ Community Center on a tour of the Gayborhood.

Over the past two years, Beyond the Bell Tour has been collaborating with the Drag Arts Oral History Project to create a digital archive of drag artists interviews. In the last year, we’ve been working to highlight parts of these interviews, interweave them with archival information from the William Way Center and place these stories throughout the Gayborhood to highlight and celebrate the drag arts.  

Beyond the Bell Tours has been working closely with the Our Market project over the last year to create a tour in 9th Street Market.

Explore the market through public art, vendor stories, and unique history that makes Philadelphia the city that it is today. This tour claims space, tells the stories of the people who work and live here and shares the (im)migrant stories you won’t hear anywhere else.

This summer, Beyond the Bell Tours and Philly Bike Tours invite you to keep Pride going by supporting not one, but TWO queer owned businesses. Our businesses are queer all year and need support all year. To celebrate our 365 Pride, Philly Bike Tours and Beyond the Bell Tours are offering a special tour that highlights queer history of Philadelphia.

Get your LGBTQ History ON TAP this summer. Premiering the summer of 2023 , Beyond the Bell Tours will be offering our LGBTQ History / Gayborhood Tour adapted to a bar crawl. You have ASKED and we are DELIVERING.

We offer custom themed trivia for office parties, local colleges, and bday parties. Typically the theme is Philly women’s / LGBTQ history, but we’re flexible! We often loop in content about the industry that your office is in, your local college lore or questions about the birthday girl.

In March, we offered our very first Badass Women Owned Food Tour to celebrate Women’s History Month. This tour featured six women owned establishments in the city of Philadelphia. We invited customers to experience all that the Philly food scene has to offer, while supporting the women-owned establishments that are making their mark on the Philadelphia food scene.
